Lions Defensive Coordinator Abel Rodriguez was promoted to head coach of the Trinity Christian football team on Monday, Rodriguez replaces Chris Lackey.
The Lions were 3-8 last season and the change marks the team’s fourth different coach in four years.
Trinity Christian is coming off a state title at the TAAPS 7 on 7 small school state championship this past weekend.
