The Estacado Matadors begin their 2017 season this week with a host of returning players and focused vision thanks to second year coach Marcus Shavers and his staff. The Mats had a strong first season under Shavers to the tune of a 8-4 record. But coaching changes in the district might spell some additional opportunities for the Mats. Estacado opens their season on the road against Hereford on September 1st.
