It looks as though former Matador and Red Raider pitcher A.J. Ramos will be heading east for the remainder of the season and next season to be part of the Mets.
The 30-year-old Lubbock native has a 3.63 era and 20 saves with the Marlins so far.
Ramos has a career era of 2.78 with 92 saves. He was drafted out of Texas Tech by the Miami Marlins and is under control contract wise through 2018.
