The 2018 LISD Hall of Honor class features everything from community leaders, coaches, to stand out swimmers and football players.  The 1962 Boys State Basketball Championship team from Dunbar High School and the 1974 State Championship Baseball team from Monterey are the two teams going in this year.  Individual members will include longtime Coronado cross country and track coach Melvin Houston; record setting Coronado softball coach J.J. Johnson; State and NCAA Champion Lubbock High swimmer Thomas Klement; State Champion football player and Estacado alum James Mosley; Monterey and Texas Tech Men’s basketball coach Gerald Myers; and long time teacher, instructor, volunteer coach, and LISD supporter Dr. Bill Dean.  The Class of 2018 will be inducted into the LISD Hall of Honor on June 9th 6 pm at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center.
