Lubbock Cooper installed a brand new turf field during the off season, the turf was installed over a three week period.
Head football coach Max Kattwinkel said the field would benefit all sports at Cooper,
“it served us well for seven years but it was time for safety reasons to just redo it and our superintendent is just really good and proactive. We had the concussion pad placed under this turf which is an added extra benefit and we are really pleased with the turf and the new facility.”
The Pirate football team was able to test out the new surface on Tuesday.
