The college football landscape changed on Wednesday as long time Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops announces his retirement from the position he has held since 1999.  Stoops went 190 and 48 in his time leading the Sooners which includes a National Championship in 2000 and ten Big 12 Titles.

His win total is the best in the history of the program passing coaching legends Barry Switzer and Bud Wilkinson.

“There isn’t a good time.  That’s the bottom line.  And just here lately, really in the last week and a half I knew it was right thing to do for me personally.  And the right thing to do moving forward for the program.”
