The Wayland Baptist Pioneers avoided a fourth consecutive loss as they clip Central Christian College 64-60. The twentieth ranked Pioneers trailed by eight points early but came back to tie the game in the first half. J.J. Culver had 12 points off the bench for Wayland as they notched their sixteenth win of the season and number eight in the Sooner Athletic Conference. The game was in doubt late as the Tigers went on an 8-2 run to tie the game at 60 with just 48 seconds left. The Pioneers will host Oklahoma City at 3 pm on Saturday.
