Coronado alum and standout freshman Jarrett Culver was named the Big 12 Newcomer of the Week for his performance against both Wofford and Savannah State. This is his first weekly conference honor
Culver averaged close to 20 points per game in the two red raider wins…On the season Culver leads the team with 3 point baskets at 10…He is third on the team in assists and steals and second on the team in scoring.
In addition to the individual award for Culver, Texas Tech also received their first Top 25 ranking since 2009. The #22 ranked Red Raiders will play Seton Hall this Thursday at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
