The Brownfield Cubs hired Duane Toliver as Athletic Director and Head Football Coach. The decision will be finalized Friday by the school board.
Toliver was previously a Texas Tech football player. He comes from Tulia where he has been the athletic director and football coach.
Toliver also had experience with Lubbock High, Shallowater, Slaton, Lubbock Cooper and Midland Lee.
Toliver replaces Jeff Smith at Brownfield who left in April to take a job with Hale Center. The cubs were 2 and 8 in the 2017 football season.
