Very few people have their dream job just fifteen miles from where they grew up.  For Texas Tech Offensive Coordinator Eric Morris, dreams do come true.  The standout at Shallowater High School played a multitude of sports with trips to the post season in football and basketball and a state title in boys hoops in 2004 playing for his father Ray Morris.  Despite his stature, Morris got the attention of then Red Raider Coach Mike Leach and was a key part of Texas Tech’s amazing 2008 season which featured a 39-33 win over rival Texas.  Morris played a season in the Canadian Football League before going into coaching.  Morris was an assistant at Houston under Kevin Sumlin and Kliff Kingsbury and then headed to Pullman, Washington to be an assistant under his former coach Mike Leach at Washington State.  Coach Kingsbury brought Morris on board in 2013 and the rest is history. “I don’t think I could have written a better script of what’s happened so far in my early career.”
