The Monterey Lady Plainsmen visited Coronado High School on Friday, looking to get revenge for the Lady Mustangs’ win earlier in the season.

The teams were locked in a tight battle with the Lady Mustangs leading 19-18 at the half. The Lady Plainsmen seemed to start pulling away with a 35-28 lead heading into the fourth quarter. With 25 seconds left, Mariah Garza hit a 3 to tie the game and force overtime. In overtime, the Lady Mustangs would go on to win 48-45.

Next up for Coronado, they will hit the road to take on Tascosa on Tuesday, while Monterey will host Amarillo.
