The Cooper Lady Pirates were looking for their second straight district win on Tuesday night, and they hosted Lubbock High who was also unbeaten in district play.
The Lady Pirates would get out on top first, taking a 9-2 lead in the first quarter. However, the Lady Westerners would quickly close the gap. The two teams exchanged scores for most of the evening, but the Lady Pirates would come out on top 63-50.
Next up for Cooper, they will visit Plainview on Friday, while the Lady Westerners will host San Angelo Lakeview.
