Monterey took a road game from Amarillo, 8-6, Wednesday evening in District 2-6A play.
The game was neck-and-neck from the start, in which the Lady Plainsmen were down in the 2nd inning before tying the game at 2-2, then pulling out the 2-run decision when it was all said and done.
Next up, Monterey hosts Amarillo Tascosa April 5. First pitch scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
