Texas Tech was outscored 24-4 in the first quarter and could never quite regain traction, falling to West Virginia on Tuesday night, 69-42.

The Lady Raiders outscored the Lady Mountaineers in the second quarter(13-7), but WVU quickly recaptured the momentum with a 16-11 third and 22-14 fourth quarter.

Tech’s leading scorers on the year had a hard time finding the bottom of the net, with Japreece Dean shooting 5-for-18 and Ivonne CookTaylor shooting 3-for-12 from the field.

West Virginia also held a sizeable rebounding advantage, 49-25.

Tech will rest for the next four days, before taking on Oklahoma State at 1pm on Sunday afternoon in Stillwater, Ok.
