The Lady Raiders suffered their sixth straight loss in Big 12 play to No. 2/2 Baylor, 79-61, Saturday afternoon.

Texas Tech (11-11, 3-8 Big 12) scored the second most points on the Lady Bears in Big 12 play this season.

The Lady Raiders held Baylor at bay for the first quarter, only trailing by four after a 7-0 run by the Lady Bears.

Baylor opened the second quarter on a 12-4 run. The Lady Raiders battled back to cut the deficit to eight heading into the break with a 9-5 run sparked by Ivonne CookTaylor’s deep jumpers.

The Lady Bears scored 20+ points in the third and fourth quarters to seal the 79-61 win.

Two Lady Raiders scored in double figures for the 20th time this season. Junior Larryn Brooks led the team with a career-high 16 points. She hit three three-pointers and went 5-for-6 from the charity stripe. Sophomore Recee’ Caldwell followed with 13 points of her own in her 15th double-digit game of the season.
