A 47-point second half led the Texas Tech Lady Raiders to a 75-60 win over Kansas during Saturday’s Play4Kay game inside the United Supermarkets Arena.

The Lady Raiders (12-14, 4-11 Big 12) evened the all-time record, 4-4, when hosting the Play4Kay pink game.

The Jayhawks (8-18, 2-13 Big 12) came out with a sense of urgency and outscored Tech, 22-13, in the first quarter. Texas Tech trailed at halftime, 33-28, after holding Kansas to a 20 percent shooting average in the second quarter.

 A 27-point third quarter pushed the Lady Raiders ahead, 55-47. Tech shot 52 percent from the field and 50 percent from beyond the arc while holding the Jayhawks to just six field goals.

The Lady Raiders maintained the lead for the rest of the game. This was the fifth game Tech has won after trailing at halftime.

 Three Lady Raiders scored in double figures for the fourth straight game. Tech has had atleast two players scored double-digit points in 24 of the 26 games played.

 Senior Ivonne CookTaylor led the team with a season-best 21 points. She also recorded seven rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and three steals against the Jayhawks. Sophomore Recee’ Caldwell followed with 12 points of her own, marking her 18th double-digit game of the season.

Junior Larryn Brooks was the third Lady Raider to score double-digit points today. She posted 12 points against Kansas, marking her 11th double figure game of the season.

Junior Dayo Olabode was one point shy of a double-double. She scored nine points and tallied 10 rebounds against Kansas. She went 3-for-6 from beyond the arc, scoring a three-pointer for the fourth straight game.

The Lady Raiders hit the road for a two-game stretch beginning on Wednesday with Oklahoma State. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. on FS Oklahoma.
