Since the start of conference play, the Lady Raider basketball team has dropped four-straight Big 12 games. Saturday night Texas Tech fell 79-57 at West Virginia.

Lady Raiders junior guard Ivonne Cook Taylor was the lone bright spot on the night, scoring 20 points, including a personal 10-0 run in the fourth quarter.

However, collectively, Candi Whitaker’s bunch shot only 32% on the game, now bringing their record to 0-4 when they shoot under 40% from the field.

“You know it was definitely nothing that we didn’t know. You know, West Virginia is a man-to-man team that switches everything from one through four,” Lady Raiders head basketball coach Candi Whitaker said. “You know, I thought we had some good looks from the jump, you know from jumpers. We had some looks at the rim and they’re athletic. They blocked some shots and took away what we had, either in the half or in transition. You know, that’s them making a great play and taking one from us.”
