Texas Tech used a 28-point fourth quarter to top Iowa State 75-66 Wednesday evening at United Supermarkets Arena.
The Lady Raiders entered final quarter trailing by six points but took the lead for good on a Recee’ Caldwell layup with 4:28 remaining.
Caldwell led all scorers with 22 points. Junior Larryn Brooks added 11 points. Freshman Brittany Brewer scored ten points and grabbed 14 rebounds.
Texas Tech (10-4, 2-1) was able to withstand a hot-shooting first half by Iowa State. The Cyclones hit nine three-pointers and led 37-30 at the break but managed to hit just one shot from behind the arch in the second half.
The Lady Raiders visit No. 25 Kansas State at 7 p.m. on Saturday in Manhattan, Kansas.
