The LCU Lady Chaps played host to Texas Woman’s University on Thursday in the first round of the NCAA Division II Tournament.
In the first quarter, TWU got off to a hot start, taking an 8-2 lead. But on the back of Haley Fowler’s 13 point effort in the 1st, the Lady Chaps would take a 21-18 lead after one. In the second quarter, the Lady Chaps found their grrove, outscoring the Pioneers 29-10. LCU would cruise the rest of the way, going on to win 95-75.
Next up for the Lady Chaps, they will play the winner of Angelo State and Colorado School of Mines on Friday at 7:30pm in the Rip Griffin Center.
