Virginia transfer and current Saint Mary’s pitcher Holden Grounds got more than a sample of the west Texas wind. He felt the fury of the Lubbock Christian University bats as the Chaps put nine runs on Grounds in a 11-1 win.  Grounds had a 1.93 ERA coming into Friday’s game.  The Chaps and Rattlers will play a double-header Saturday at Hays Field starting at noon.  In the last three games the Chaps are averaging thirteen runs and seventeen hits while allowing less than two runs per game and six hits during the same stretch.
