The LCU Baseball team met UTPB Thursday for the first of a three game series.
LCU napped one run in the first, but the real story early was of Russell Reber on the mound. Reber struck out he side in the 2nd and managed to pu up zeros while he was in the game. In the 4th, the Chap finally got bats to balls that started with a Jesse Pintado double. Chase Simmons gets Pintado in to take the lead 2-0. The Chaps get 3 more in the 4th and trickle some runs in after that, but they busted the game open in the 8th with 4 more runs taking a 10-0 lead. The Falcons tried to rally, but only got 2 scores in the 9th as the Chaps took the first of the three game series 10-2.
