Call her The King.

Lilly King took home the gold Monday night in the much-anticipated 100 meter breaststroke. The stage was set after some finger wagging from the two and King speaking out against her Russian rival, Yulia Efimova, who was enveloped in the doping controversy.

King, of Evansville, Inidiana, would take home the gold with a time of 1:04:93 and Efimova followed next by about half a second. King’s mark also broke the Olympic record.

Another American, Katie Meili, swam her way to the bronze.
