It is winner take all as No. 5 Texas Tech faces East Carolina in game three of the Lubbock Super Regional, with the victor advancing to the College World Series in Omaha.

In the top of the first, Texas Tech freshman RHP Erikson Lanning gets out of the jam, as the Pirates strand two runners on second and third. The Red Raiders head to the plate.
In the bottom of the first, Texas Tech loaded the bases. Jacob Wolfe walked Tyler Neslony to bring home Stephen Smith. Then, Eric Gutierrez hit a two RBI single through the left side. Tech leads 3-0.
On to the bottom of the third, bases loaded, and Tech third baseman Hunter Hargrove hits a 2 RBI double into the left field corner that scores Cory Raley and Tyler Neslony. Red Raiders lead 5-0. Later in the frame, ECU’s Matt Bridges came on in relief, threw a wild pitch and Gutierrez advanced home from third. Texas Tech lead 6-0.
In the fifth inning, Lanning continues to roll for the Red Raiders, retiring his 10th straight batter.
In the bottom of the sixth, Orlando Garcia doubled to right center to bring in Stephen Smith for the seventh run of the game for Tech.
In the seventh, Gutierrez drives in Neslony with an RBI double, his third hit on the afternoon. Then Hargrove follows with an RBI double of his own, to drive in Gutierrez. Still in the frame, Floyd hit an RBI single through the left side to plate Hargrove from second. Red Raiders lead 10-0.
