The Cooper Pirates had a few days off after 3 weeks of tournaments. In most those tournaments the team played 5-6 games in just 3 days, so a nice rest was needed and head Coach Terry Baxter said he noticed a refreshed team on the turf today.
The Pirates get ready for district play starting with Abilene Cooper this weekend. While Cooper lost the majority of its pitchers last year they saw players on the mound step up just in time to start district.
