The Cooper Pirates headed to Westerner Field Friday night for a District game.

Both teams started off hot, but the Westerners couldn’t keep up losing a heartbreaker to Lubbock Cooper. Lubbock High had the bases loaded in the bottom of the 7 in a one run game but just couldn’t get that last big hit. Caden Kacal, Greg Sanchez and Koi Corrillo all contributed to holding the Pirates to 7 runs. Chance Chambers and Robert Ramos led the team offensively.

Lubbock High plays Monterey tomorrow at Westerner Field at 1.

Cooper plays Lakeview April 16th in San Angelo.
