Lubbock High in their first day of the First Bank Classic faced Odessa High in one of their two games.
The game started close and was more of a pitchers duel, until the 4th inning with the Westerners busted it open. Lubbock High scored three that inning including one on a walk and one on a error. The Westerners stayed afloat as they beat Odessa High 5-4.
The Westerners also beat Andrews in their game Thursday night 11-4.
