The Lubbock High Westerner softball team took on Canyon at Rosenow Field in the gold bracket championship game of the Caprock Classic on Saturday night.
The game was a pitchers duel throughout with the teams combining for 23 strikeouts the entire game. The only runs came in the bottom of the 5th inning when Canyon hit a walk-off two run home run to win the game.
Next up for Lubbock High, they will host Monterey on Tuesday.
