The Lubbock High Westerner softball team hosted Odessa Permian on Friday night at Westerner Field.
Permian put the first run on the board with an Abigail Pawlik solo home run in the top of the 2nd inning. In the bottom half of the 2nd, the Westerners responded with four runs including an Adrenna Guerrero triple that scored two runs, then Guerrero advanced home on a throwing error to make it 4-1. The Westerners would go on to win 10-1.
Next up for the Westerners, they will visit San Angelo Lakeview on Wednesday.
