When you win as much as Shallowater’s coach Kyle Maxfield has, it’s just a matter of time before your phone lights up with offers to go elsewhere.
Coach Maxfield was formally introduced as Brownwood’s newest Atheltics Director and head football coach Friday afternoon. Maxfield will fill the position left vacant by Chuck Howard.
Since his first year at Shallowater in 2009, Maxfield has gotten his teams closer to state, with four state-quarter final appearances and a trip to the state semi’s. His team collected a 23-5 record over the past two seasons.
