For some, autographs are big business. But for most fans, it’s the excitement of being close to a big leaguer and getting a tangible lifelong memory.

If it’s autographs you seek, Spring Training is the place to be.

“I sign for everyone, everyday,” says Rangers Relief Pitcher Sam Dyson. “I don’t have a lot going on.”

Starting Pitcher Derek Holland says it’s as easy to get one.

“Just have a conversation. Just talk to me,” he says.

“I just say, ‘can I have your autograph please?’ explains fan Kai Bumpus. “And I say, ‘thank you.’ And I get it!”

Some are seeking signatures of stars. The most popular are Prince Fielder and Adrian Beltre.

Others aren’t as picky. They’ll ask just about anyone wearing a Rangers jersey.

And if you thought getting autographs is just for kids, you haven’t met 90-year-old Emma Jones.

“I filled up a ball yesterday,” she says. “I need to get Prince’s, Odor and Elvis. We didn’t get Elvis yesterday.”

But today is a new day. And Emma is up for the challenge!
