The Monterey Plainsmen hosted El Paso El Dorado on Thursday morning in the First Bank Classic.
The Aztecs jumped out on top early, taking a 6-0 lead through 3 and a half innings. In the fourth, the Plainsmen would load the bases, Zeke Guiterriez would fly out to right center, but it was deep enough to score a run. But it wouldn’t be enough as Monterey fell, 10-4.
Monterey will be in action on Saturday as well, they host El Paso Chapin at 9am then El Paso Franklin at 6pm.
