The No. 12 Texas Tech men’s golf team put together a pair of eight-over rounds on Saturday and sits in eighth place heading into the final round at the Aggie Invitational, in Bryan, Texas.

The Red Raiders were never really able to get rolling in either round on Saturday, especially on the back nine where they combined to go 13-over in round one and 11-over in round two.

Tech (+16) sits in ninth place as a team, 27 shots off the pace set by No. 8 LSU, who is 11-under through Saturday. The Red Raiders are one of seven top-30 teams in the field.

The best 18-hole scores for the Red Raiders were each even-par rounds by Federico Zucchetti and Hurly Long, both coming in the first round. Long, playing as an individual, and Zucchetti currently lead the way for the Red Raiders at 2-over.

Tech will return to action tomorrow for the final round in Bryan, with tee times set to begin at 7:30 a.m. Live scoring will be provided by Golfstat.
