Oklahoma State outslugged Texas Tech to take the series opener 12-10 Friday at Rip Griffin Park.
The Cowboys jumped in front 3-0 in the first inning on a three-run home run by Garrett McCain.
Texas Tech would get two back in the third inning on a Josh Jung two-run double then tied it up on a Michael Berglund sacrifice fly in the 5th.
Oklahoma State then exploded for six runs in the 6th inning which was capped by a Colin Simpson three-run home run.
The Red Raiders (32-9) answered with six runs of their own in the bottom of the inning.
John McMillon started the scoring with his fifth homerun of the season and Tanner Gardner’s RBI single would tie the game at nine.
Oklahoma State’s would go ahead in the 8th inning and score two insurance runs in the 9th to take the series opener.
