Oklahoma State’s Mike Gundy would rather watch Spongebob than the CFP rankings show

Election season may be over for the politicians, but the politicking is just beginning for college football coaches nationwide.

Oklahoma State’s head football coach Mike Gundy and his football team sit at 8-2 overall and 6-1 in Big 12 play.

One of those losses came at the hands of Central Michigan, on a last second hailmary that should have never happened because the situation was mishandled by the referrees.

Long story short, Gundy views his team as actually being 9-1 overall, contrary to their actual record.

He says he is convinced that his team didn’t lose that game, and the committee should be convinced as well.

However, Texas Tech’s athletics director Kirby Hocutt doesn’t see things the same as Gundy. Earlier this week, Hocutt said that the committee plans to view Oklahoma State as a two-loss team, even though there was some human error involved in the Cowboys loss to Central Michigan.

As you could imagine, Gundy’s mullet wasn’t very happy.

“Oh, I’m not sure. When you get into, administrative politics, I just assume, jump off a building,” Gundy said. “Nobody will ever convince me that we lost that game. What Kirby wants to say, or the committee, that’s his choice. They’re supposed to be deciding on who they think the best teams are, is what they’re supposedly deciding on, is what they say right? I mean I never watch the show. I’d rather watch Spongebob.”
