The Cooper Pirates hosted Lubbock High at Pirate Field on Tuesday night.
The Pirates had the bats going early, scoring 8 runs in the first two innings. In the top of the third, the Westerners would respond, putting up four runs to cut the deficit to 8-5. But Cooper wouldn’t be stopped, going on to win 12-7.
Next up for Lubbock High, they will host Plainview on Thursday, while the Pirates will visit Amarillo on Friday night.
