In a non-district matchup, the Monterey Plainsmen hosted Lubbock High on Tuesday night at Moegle Field.
The Plainsmen would strike early, scoring one run in the bottom of the first before scoring two more in the third and one more in the fifth while holding the Westerners to just four hits and no runs. The Plainsmen would come out on top 4-0.
These two teams will meet up again on Saturday at Westerner Field, but the Westerners will host Lubbock Cooper on Friday first.
