CANYON, Texas — Abernathy fell to Canadian 35-31 Friday, ending its season in the Class 3A Division II quarterfinals.
Canadian took a 28-12 lead at halftime, but Abernathy scored 13 points in the third quarter to cut its deficit to three. Canadian scored to open the fourth and made crucial stops on defense to close out the game.
Abernathy finishes its season 12-2.
