Texas Tech’s Gerald Myers was among the nine members inducted in to the Texas Sports Hall of Fame Saturday in Waco.

Myers has been associated the past sixty years as a player, coach and athletic director.

He’s the ninth member with ties to Texas Tech to be inducted into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame.

The 2018 class also included Texas Ranger great Michael Young, Longhorn quarterback Vince Young, Texas A&M quarterback Gary Kubiak and Olympic swimmer Jill Sterkel.

Also inducted on Saturday were the late Johnny Bailey, Pete Fredenburg, Cathy Self-Morgan, and Nell Fortner.
