Lady Raider Basketball Head Coach Marlene Stollings added another member to the 2018-19 roster with the signing of Chinna Fair on Wednesday.
“Chinna is a physical perimeter player who can score and defend. She possesses strong ball handling skills and can create space to get her shot off,” Stollings said. “Chinna is versatile defensively and will be able to guard at multiple positions. Our Lady Raider fans will enjoy cheering for her these next two years!”
Fair is a 5-10 guard from Midwest City, Okla. She played the last two seasons at Odessa College. She helped Odessa to a Western Junior College Athletic Conference (WJCAC) Championship and two regional championships. During her time with the Wranglers, Fair led the team to two Sweet 16 appearances and one Elite Eight berth.
Fair averaged 11.5 points per game and was named WJCAC All-Conference and NJCAA All-Region after both seasons at Odessa.
During her senior season at Midwest City High School, Fair led her team to the Class 6A State Championship and was named The Oklahoman’s Big All-City Player of the Year.
Fair joins junior college products Mia Castaneda and Kiara Shoals, who both signed with the program earlier this week.
