Texas Tech was unable to overcome a slow start in Wednesday’s 67-58 loss to Texas in Austin.

The Red Raiders scored a season-low 24 points in the first half but trailed by just five points at the break.

The Longhorns would push the lead 13 points in the second half and extend their winning streak over the Red Raiders to 22 straight at Frank Erwin Center.

Jarrett Culver led Texas Tech with 16 points off the bench in the loss.

The Red Raiders return to action when they visit Iowa State at 1 p.m. Saturday in Ames, Iowa.
