For the second time in program history, Texas Tech has advances to match play at the NCAA Championships.

The Red Raiders finished third overall (+12) during stroke play Monday at Karsten Creek in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Junior Ivan Ramirez (-5) finished tied for fourth, the highest individual finish in program history.

Greg Sands’ team faces Alabama at 7 a.m. Tuesday in the first round of match play with the winner advancing to face either Duke or Texas.

Four of the eight remaining teams are from the Big 12 Conference.
