Texas Tech freshman Zhaire Smith is officially one and done in the Red and Black.
The 6-foot-5 guard announced on Twitter Tuesday night he has hired an agent.
After careful consideration I’ve decided to forgo my collegiate career and sign with Roc Nation.
Again I want to thank my family, friends , coaches, teammates, and TT fans. Your support has been great . I know this is the best decision for me and I hope to make y’all proud! pic.twitter.com/8IkexHvbc6— Zhaire (@zhaire_smith) April 18, 2018
Two weeks ago, Smith orginially left the door open for a possible return when he did not hire an agent.
Smith averaged 11.3 points, five rebounds and helped the Red Raiders to their first ever Elite Eight appearance in his lone season in Lubbock.
The NBA Draft is June 21.
