Texas Tech rolled to an 82-53 win over Kennesaw State Wednesday for the program’s first win as a ranked team in eight years.

The 24th-ranked Red Raiders held the Owls without a field goal for nearly nine minutes in the first half and went into the half with a 42-19 lead.

Keenan Evans scored a team-high 16 points in the win which featured several highlight dunks from Zach Smith and Zhaire Smith.

The Red Raiders (8-1) return to action at 7 p.m. Saturday when they host Rice for a “Throwback Night” at Lubbock Municipal Coliseum.  Texas Tech played it’s last game at the Coliseum in 1999.
