Home runs from Taylor Satchell and Kelcy Leach in the 5th inning lifted the Texas Tech softball team (25-1) to an 8-0 run-rule over Murray State, Friday evening at Tiger Softball Complex.
It was the No. 10/13 Red Raiders seventh run rule win in the last eight games.
Erin Edmoundson opened up the Tiger Classic with her fifth shutout of the season to improve to 13-1 on the year.
The Red Raiders out-hit the Racers 6-3. Sophomore Heaven Burton led the lineup with a perfect 2-for-2 day at the plate.
The Red Raiders return to action tomorrow for a pair of games against North Alabama at 11:15 a.m. and host Memphis at 1:30 p.m.
