Texas Tech softball continues its home stand with the Jeannine McHaney Memorial Classic on March 28-10 at Rocky Johnson Field.

The Red Raiders open with Northern Colorado at 4 p.m. Friday then face Gardner-Webb at 6:3 p.m.

They face Jacksonville State at 4 p.m. on Saturday and close out the Classic with games against Gardner-Webb (10 a.m.) and Northern Colorado (12:30 p.m.) on Sunday.

The Red Raiders are ranked as high as 12th and are in the top 15 of all three polls this week.

Head coach Adrian Gregory’s team has won 19 of its first 20 games.  Two years ago, the Red Raiders won 19 games all season.

Several factors have led to the turnaround.

The Red Raiders are averaging 7.15 runs per game and have scored 41 more runs than they did through the first 20 games a season ago.

They’ve also improved in the circle.

Sophomore Erin Edmoundson has eleven wins for a pitching staff that has allowed 32 fewer runs than they did a year ago after 20 games.
