Texas Tech defensive lineman Talor Nunez heads into the first week of the season with more than football on his mind.
On Thursday, Nunez shared the news of his father’s recent cancer diagnosis.
“Last week we found out he had an obstruction in his bile duct,” Nunez said. “When they went to open it up, they found out it was cancer.”
Domingo Nunez had surgery on Tuesday to remove the giant mass and remains in a Lubbock hospital.
“Right now we’re praying and waiting that they get all the tests back and there’s no cancer in his body anymore,” Nunez said. “So if y’all can, keep him in your prayers, please.”
