Texas tech traveled to Fort Worth to take on the TCU Horned Frogs, trying to win their second straight at TCU.
After holding TCU on their first drive, Jett Duffey and the offense drove over 50 yards with Clayton Hatfield finishing the drive off with a 22-yard field goal to take the early 3-0 lead.
Jordyn Brooks intercepted a pass in the endzone to give Tech the ball with the lead at the end of the first quarter. They were not able to move the ball, punting it back to TCU. The Horned Frogs would take just four plays to score. Shawn Robinson found Jalen Reagor for the 20-yard touchdown, TCU up 7-3.
Tech forced their second turnover in the game on a fourth and one run by Shawn Robinson, who fumbled, giving the Red Raiders the ball on the Tech 32.
Both offenses sputtering, just 7-3 at halftime.
McClane Carter started the second half, but after that first drive, Duffey was back in the game.
On 2nd and 11, Duffey hit a wide open Ja’Deion High for the 62 yard touchdown, Red Raiders up once again, 10-7.
Early in the fourth, Shawn Robinson threw a dime to Kavontae Turpin for a 20-yard touchdown, the Horned Frogs up 14-10.
With just over seven minutes to go, Jett Duffey took off for a 42-yard rushing touchdown to give Tech another three point lead, 17-14.
With less than a minute to go, TCU gave up their third turnover with an interception with 42 seconds to go.
That would be the final, Texas Tech beats TCU in low-scoring affair, 17-14.
