Italian point guard Davide Moretti committed to Texas Tech following an official visit to Lubbock over the weekend.
The Italian hoops star chose the scarlet and black over offers from several blue-blood programs including Connecticut, Indiana and Utah.
Moretti is 6-foot-1 and is just 19 years old. Over seas he has played in the FIBA U-18 European Championship, where he average 14.8 points per contest. Moretti signed with the Universo De’Longhi Treviso in June of 2015. He spent two seasons playing for the team.
He is the seventh member of Texas Tech’s 2017 recruiting class.
