Texas Tech fans can begin marking their calendars as the Big 12 Conference officially unveiled the 2019 schedule Thursday, which features six home games at Jones AT&T Stadium.

The Red Raiders open the season with back-to-back home games, hosting Montana State on Aug. 31 and UTEP on Sept. 7. Tech closes non-conference play Sept. 14 at Arizona, marking the first game in a home-and-home series between the two former Border Conference foes who will be facing each other for the first time since 1989.

Big 12 play opens two weeks later at Oklahoma as the Red Raiders will travel to Norman for a Sept. 28 showdown at Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. It will be the first time in school history where Tech has opened league action against the Sooners. Tech will host its Big 12 home opener a week later on Oct. 5 against Oklahoma State.

The Red Raiders will make their first-ever trip to McLane Stadium in Waco on Oct. 12 as Tech and Baylor will move their series back to campus after 10 years of playing at either AT&T Stadium in Arlington (2009, 2011-18) or Cotton Bowl Stadium (2010). The series will be played on campus in each of the next two seasons with Baylor visiting Jones AT&T Stadium during the 2020 campaign. Tech will continue its longstanding relationship with the Dallas Cowboys organization this spring as the Red Raiders will travel to The Star in Frisco for a third-consecutive year to host its spring scrimmage April 13 inside the Ford Center.

Tech will receive its second open date on Nov. 2 before entering the final month of play at West Virginia on Nov. 9. TCU (Nov. 16) and Kansas State (Nov. 23) close Tech’s home slate with back-to-back games at Jones AT&T Stadium followed by a Nov. 29 trip to Texas to wrap the regular season.

Game times and television designations for the entire 2019 schedule will be announced by the conference office in the months leading up to the season. All dates are subject to change.

Fans wishing to become a new season ticket holder for the 2019 season can already place a $50 deposit with the Tech Ticket Office either online or by calling 806-742-TECH. Renewal packages for current season ticket holders will be distributed beginning in January.
