Texas Tech used a two-run sixth inning to take a 7-5 lead that the Red Raiders wouldn’t relinquish, winning game one of its weekend series against Kentucky.
The Red Raiders either led or were tied for the majority of the game. They trailed for only half of an inning in the contest.
The second and final game of the series is Sunday at 1:00 pm.
